Dr. Uma Chaurasiya, born on August 1, 1990, is a distinguished researcher in the field of Botany, currently based in Pune, Maharashtra. She earned her Ph.D. in Botany from Jiwaji University, Gwalior in 2024, with a focus on the phytochemical analysis and antifungal screening of the post-harvest pathogen Colletotrichum capsici using selected plant extracts. Her M.Phil. was completed at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Uttar Pradesh in 2015, where she investigated iron and manganese-induced physiological and biochemical changes in Brassica nigra seedlings.
Dr. Zheng’s academic journey is highlighted by her joint Ph.D. training at Cornell University, an Ivy League institution in the United States. Her research primarily focuses on the interactions of plant food components and the formation of colloidal structures, gels, and proteins.
