Rongchen Liu’s research focuses on integrated multi-omics data analysis to advance evolutionary biology and precision medicine. Utilizing transcriptomic, genomic, epigenomic, and metabolomic technologies, Liu develops computational tools to investigate molecular regulatory networks underlying adaptive evolution and complex traits in aquatic organisms. Additionally, his work explores disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets, employing multi-omics and single-cell approaches to dissect pathological processes such as fibrosis and assess the regulatory effects of interventions, including natural products. His publications highlight insights into sex- and size-dependent disease resistance, reproductive advantages, stress responses, dormancy-arousal mechanisms, and stress resilience in diverse aquatic species.
