Dr. P. N. Meena is a distinguished Plant Pathologist serving as Scientist at ICAR-CRIJAF, Kolkata since 2013. He contributed to the development of two kenaf varieties, JBMP-4 (Utkarsh) and JRR-17 (Ayush), resistant to foot and stem rot disease. His scholarly output includes numerous international and national research papers, books, book chapters, technical bulletins, folders, and popular articles. He has delivered invited lectures, organized farmer field schools and frontline demonstrations, and edited annual reports and NAAS-rated journals. He has developed 21 technologies on molecular detection and disease management and actively leads and collaborates in multiple funded research projects.
