Dr. Donghai Xu is a full Professor and doctoral advisor at Xi’an Jiaotong University, where he is affiliated with the Key Laboratory of Thermo-Fluid Science & Engineering, Ministry of Education, within the School of Energy and Power Engineering. Recognized as a national-level young talent, he has presided over 12 national and provincial scientific research projects. Dr. Xu has published over 180 SCI papers, cited more than 6600 times, and has a personal H-index of 42. His distinguished career has earned him prestigious awards, including the Gold Medal at the 8th International Invention Exhibition, the Excellence Award of China Patent, and the First Prize of the Science and Technology Award of Shaanxi Higher Education Institutions. Dr. Xu’s research spans a wide array of topics, including biomass hydrothermal conversion, coal/biomass pyrolysis gasification, high-temperature corrosion prevention and control of metal materials, boiler technology, sludge/highly concentrated difficult-to-degrade organic wastewater treatment, combustion and pollutant control, heat exchanger fouling prevention and control, low-temperature waste heat recovery and utilization, hydrogen energy preparation, and multi-phase flow mass and heat transfer.
